(116/366) Someone’s an especially happy fella tonight. Our CAPS beat the Bruins in overtime (surprised anyone?) to advance to the next round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Sadly, Andrew recorded the wrong station so we didn’t get to see the game, but the outcome is what matters! C-A-P-S, CAPS, CAPS, CAPS!

(115/366) There are so many things to say about this picture. Where do I start? Let’s just go for it. 1. What does a dragon have to do with a soccer ball? Nothing really. 2. Then why is that cake a dragon and a soccer ball? Because this cake was made for my co-worker Bruce. [...]

(114/366) Andrew made dinner. (Pasta with spinach pesto) I made a cake. (Dragon soccer cake) Now we sleep. (Dreaming of soccer playing dragon dancing in plates of pasta)

(113/366) This weekend I was supposed to pack up some stuff to take with me to Florida for the next four months. Yup, I’m heading south for the next, hot, sticky four months. Have you ever packed for a super-extended trip? I hadn’t, and I have no idea how to go about doing that. So [...]

(112/366) Andrew’s parents and a couple of his brothers came over this afternoon for lunch. After stuffing ourselves silly at the local Thai place, we came back to our house for a little chat and decided to give the ole’ carbonator a spin. Johnny requested carbonated milk, which sounds pretty gross to me, but…why not? [...]

If we weren’t Jewish, I think this would probably be a bit more poignent, but we are Jewish, so it’s [...]

Duck, Duck, No Just A Goose (110/366)

(110/366) I saw this goose in the parking lot outside my work today. Gayle and I decided to head over to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and she insisted on driving so we could see this mama goose. I was confused, until we stumbled upon this mama sitting on her nest amongst the cars. Gayle thinks she [...]

(109/366) Yup, another picture of flowers. This is two days in a row. This is the bouquet of flowers Andrew gave me the night he proposed. I like that they’re a little unusual. Just like us.

(108/366) Today’s fun facts: – Andrew ate 14 chicken nuggets for dinner. That’s four more than they give you at McDonald’s. – When I want to relax, I watch clips of the Ellen Show on YouTube. – When I go to bed, I have three pillows. When I wake up, two of the pillows are [...]

(107/366) I asked Andrew what I should write about him here and he said, “I am awesome.” That’s probably why he has a smirk on his face.

Tourist for a Day (106/366)

by Simmie on April 15, 2012

in 365Project

(106/366) Today capped off what has been an amazing weekend. With temperatures hitting the 80s today, it seemed like a shame to stay cooped up inside. So Andrew and I headed down to Eastern Market to enjoy a hot plate of pancakes in celebration of our newfound ability to eat leavened food. Unfortunately, the pancake [...]

What a Day! (105/366)

by Simmie on April 14, 2012

in 365Project,Andrew

Where do I start? Today has been such a fun day! Shall we work backwards? Passover is finally over! We celebrated with pizza and garlic knots. Our breath is outstanding. After a shaky start, the Red Sox pulled out a big win against the Rays. Things are looking up. Before that, the CAPS pulled out [...]
