Liz and I both have Fitbit activity trackers. They count how many steps you take a day with a goal of 10,000 steps a day and we compete with one another for the most steps. For the past few months we have been averaging around 5000-6000 steps a day, but in the last few weeks, we’ve upped our activity level. We started going to the gym three days a week in the morning where we run or walk which gives us an addition 3000 or so steps. This is my second consecutive day reaching the 10,000 step mark this week. I must admit, today reaching 10,000 steps involved me pacing around the bathroom and jogging in place in our bedroom to get those extra 150 steps. It’s progress though, so I’m satisfied.
