I’m in Vienna!
I don’t have much time. We just got here an hour ago. It’s 4:20 AM EST, but it’s 10:20 AM here so we’re off for some sight seeing adventures.
The plane ride wasn’t too bad after the first two hours when small child was screaming holy heck. I then spent the remaining 6 hours contorting myself into a seemingly comfortable position for sleeping. It only took me 3 hours into the flight to figure out how to recline my seat (yes, I’m an engineer…), but then I quickly realized reclining my seat placed my head in an unfavorable position for leaning against the window. But never fear, I’m still me, so I managed to sleep for a good amount of time.
Food wasn’t too bad either. I had some ravioli for dinner with a triangular shaped brownie for dessert. Apparently on Austrian Airlines, they are all about the drinks as my neighbor enjoyed a few gin and tonics. I stuck to coke. Breakfast was coldcuts and cheese. Also tasty, and how many people can say they had a nice big hunk of brie for breakfast on an airplane. I can!
