Isn’t this a lovely flower? It was given to me by a lovely person. In fact, this is the third orchid that Andrew (look at that picture of him with the lobster!) has given me. Why has he given me three orchids?
Because I keep KILLING them.
This orchid specifically says on the tag that is an easy to care for plant that only needs to be watered once a week. Apparently that is too much for me.
The first orchid? I snapped it in half trying to take it out of the protective plastic around the plant.
The second orchid? It bloomed for a little while until it withered away into a sad looking puny brown stem. And I even watered it!
This third orchid? I’m going to give it my best shot. I think Andrew has long given up looking too deeply into my lack of ability at keeping this plant alive. So, anything – anything is a win.
