Whoa, it’s March. My friend Liz told me I should show you guys this cake I made a while ago. Geesh, almost 4 years ago! It’s pretty funny looking back through my portfolio and seeing how my skills have improved over the years. Four years ago, I would have considered this to be one of the best cakes I had ever made. Today, I still sort of agree. I’m always proud when I can successfully use buttercream and I think in this case, it makes the cast iron pot look more realistic.
I’m not sure how I figured out how to sculpt that little guy, but he looks pretty happy to me. Also, a small detail…my chocolate coins are actually Hanukkah gelt. Haha, haven’t met too many Irish Jews before? Bet you haven’t met too many Asian Jews either. Well, nice to meet you. Now you have. 🙂
Anyone got big St. Patrick’s Day plans? Once I drank green beer. Being green did not make the beer taste better.
