Keep on Giving

(347/366)

After having Elise’s Hanukkah gift for a good month or so, I finally got around to wrapping it and putting it in a box. How long it’s going to take me to actually get it to a post office is another story.

Funny thing about wrapping gifts. While I can sit and place individual sugar crystals on a cookie with tweezers for hours, I can’t bring myself to go the extra step to really wrap gifts nicely. I never ever cut off the extra paper so my gifts always end up with weird bulges. I usually pull the paper too hard so sharp corners break through, and you’re lucky if you get a bow. I think it’s because I know people are just going to rip the paper off anyways that I can’t bring myself to put in the extra effort. Andrew though? He’s an awesome gift wrapper. (Fun fact, he wrapped my Hanukkah gifts this year in two t-shirts I gave him. I wrapped his in a plastic bag. At least we’re on the same page here?)

I’m pretty sure Elise is going to like her gift this year. I mean, it’s no terrifying rubber horse mask. That would be a creepy gift to give someone. Plus, I figured she was more of the unicorn type.
