Happy 4th of July! They postponed the fireworks here because it was downpouring today, but some intrepid neighbors decided to set some off at the beach tonight.

We headed out to lunch with Andrew’s parents down on Fenwick Island. The restaurants were all packed, but we ended up at The Lobster Shanty and the food was really good.

Andrew got a lobster BLT which was basically the trifecta of foods. We also got to catch the end of the Germany-France soccer game which then transitioned to the Nathan’s hot dog eating contest which is one of the grossest things I’ve ever seen.

It actually cleared up a bit this afternoon and the rain helped cool things off a bit. We spent a lazy afternoon napping and reading before getting a late dinner and rounding out the evening with some TV and more relaxing.
