I had a little bit of extra pumpkin puree in the fridge from the weekend’s cake baking and I figured it’s finally October so it’s reasonable to give into the urge for pumpkin baked goods. There are Christmas decorations in the stores already which is completely unacceptable, but I’m going to ignore that for the moment and focus on this delicious, fall treat.
So pumpkin in it’s outright is pretty rad, no? But adding chocolate to it? Even better. There are few desserts that aren’t made better by chocolate. This is a quick bread to make, and aside from the fact that it requires a whole bunch of bowls, it’s pretty easy. It reminds me of banana bread which is perfectly acceptable to eat for breakfast, so it should follow that this is too.
