Anyone else from Massachusetts remember this stuff? When I was younger they used to sell it at Market Basket. It was made by Alden Merrell and you could buy a whole pie or just a slice. Sometimes I would get it as a snack when I was working in the courtesy booth. The past few years though, it’s been impossible to find. The Jackster would try to find it every time I came home to no avail. However, on our last trip home, Andrew and I walked into a Market Basket and there it was! It was made by Market Basket, not Alden Merrell but it was totally the same! Of course, now I can only eat like a sliver at a time, but it’s still so good…

I just tried chaos pie from a Portsmouth NH Market Basket and it was disgusting, nothing like the original.

I just bought one tonight at Market Basket in New Hampshire. They’re awesome! There are recipes on the internet, but they’re not the same.
