A Beach Weekend…

Quilling

…is FUN!

Andrew and I made the most of our long weekend and hit up the beach on Saturday. After our regularly scheduled stop at Sonic, we managed to get the house shortly before dinnertime. After stuffing ourselves silly, we were in for a quiet night of puzzles and relaxing.

We got up the next morning and lounged around until lunch. Which was perfectly timed for us to get caught in a torrential downpour that led to Andrew totally wiping out as he ran from the car to the house. I missed it, but apparently it was an epic tumble. He was ok, and he even managed to save our sandwiches without crushing them or getting them wet.

We managed to get a few hours in the sun on Sunday in between all of the eating. As the sun started to go down and decided to finally break out my quilling kit and see if I could I figure out what was going on. I’m fairly pleased with my first attempt, but now I have loads and loads of new ideas. I’m sure Andrew is thrilled with that I’ve picked up yet another hobby.

We left mid-morning on Monday in an attempt to beat some of the traffic. We did stop at one of the many farmer’s markets on the way back. I wanted to get the 3/$5 watermelons, but I was sort of at a loss of what we would actually do with three entire watermelons.

Peach Cobbler

We did pick up some peaches so as Andrew said, “You can make some peach cobbler.” Which, being the accommodating wife that I am, I did. Also, peach cobbler is delicious.

Now, it’s back to work. It’s a short week though!
