Bananas

So, sometimes you are like me and you have to make a banana flavored cake and you realize you forgot to buy bananas last week so you could let them sit out and ripen. So then you go to the store, look for the most ripe bananas you can find (that are actually still a little green) and hope you can magically make them ripen overnight.

Well, you can.

Actually, you don’t need overnight. You need thirty minutes and an oven.

If you need to ripen your bananas quickly, heat your oven to 300°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat in case things get oozy. Then, just put your bananas on the pan and bake them for 30ish minutes until they turn a nice shiny black. Once that happens, your bananas will be soft and sweet. It totally works!
