52 Weeks – Week 1

In Andrew, Weekly Photo by SimmieLeave a Comment

While I have enjoyed doing my 365 Projects, taking a photo and blogging about it everyday is a time consuming process. It was a daily snippet into my life that I love being able to look back on, but having to set aside time every night to blog got taxing at times. Sometimes I just wanted to go to sleep and Andrew probably heard, “I still have to write my blog post” more times than he wanted as he was getting ready for bed.

But I still want to keep up this photo documentation. So for 2015 I’m going to start sharing pictures in a weekly format. Thursday mornings will be a collection of pictures I’ve taken over the past week. Sometimes there will be many, sometimes probably not so much. Week 1 of 2015 was pretty good though.

Melissa and Brad came down to hang out with us on New Year’s Day.

Week 1

Taking pictures with a tripod is fun. I’m old school like that. I think all the kids are using those selfie-stick things these days.

Week 1

Jen got a new camera for Christmas so we sat around for a while taking pictures of the boys. Clearly, they really appreciated it.

Week 1

My roller derby team had our annual holiday party. I made s’mores brownies to bring. Got to use up my leftover homemade marshmallows too!

Week 1

I also made peanut butter balls. Apparently I made these a few years ago because I found mention of them in a blog post, but I didn’t actually mention which recipe I used. And now I’ve forgotten which one I used this year.

Week 1

Everyone is supposed to bring a gift for a White Elephant exchange. I made these etched glasses. Not my best work, but I thought they were kind of cute.

Week 1

I got these sweet shirt at the party! Taco Cat backwards is Taco Cat!

I started a new project. I’m building a table!

Week 1

I’m also trying to finish up another one. I’m getting so close to finishing, but it’s taking forever to do the last few parts.

Week 1

And somehow I forgot to take a picture of the snowstorm that blew through here while we were all not paying attention, so there’s that. I’m working on my photo documentation process…
